If NaNoWriMo is in your plans this year (I’m a solid maybe depending on the status of my book revisions)–then now is a brilliant time to invest in figuring out what it is you want to put that glorious 50K word goal toward. You probably know that I’m a big fan of outlining, but even if you’re not, the odds of ending the month with something useful increase exponentially with every hour you put into trying to figure out what it is you want to get out of it.
